See You At The Movies!

Thinking about catching a flick but don't know what's playing at your local theater? Or don't want to rush to get there early, stand in long lines, and then find out that the show you wanted to see is sold out but you can come back four hours later?

Then Fandango may be for you!

Brought to you by Carmike Cinemas, Century Theatres, Cinemark Theatres, Edwards Cinemas, Loews Cineplex Entertainment, Landmark Theatres, Magic Johnson Theatres, and Regal Cinemas, Fandango has it all.

You can search by the name of the movie or just by your favorite genre. Movie ratings, reviews, trailers, posters, & more (including even the running time [how long the movie is]) are all here. Yes, there is a $1 service fee for buying your ticket online but you have a guaranteed seat at the time you have chosen.

You can find out which participating theaters are in your area by searching either zip code or city. If, after the show, you come out humming a tune from the movie you can go back to Fandango and buy the cd soundtrack online. If that's not enough, you can even make dinner reservations for after the show!

If the closest theater to you is not one of the ones on the Fandango site, then you might give MovieTickets.com a try.

This site is sponsored by AMC Entertainment, Famous Players, Hollywood Media Corp., Hoyts Cinemas, Marcus Theatres, National Amusements, & Viacom. MovieTickets.com focuses more directly on just the theaters & the tickets themselves but, if you dig for it, you can find the movie ratings, reviews, running time, plot synopsis, etc., just like Fandango.

How about a birthday gift for that favorite nephew who has everything? You can drive to YOUR favorite theater and get him a gift card but what if the closest theater to his house is a different chain?

Not to worry. You could buy him a gift certificate online from MovieGift that he could show at any ticket counter and see a flick on you, PLUS you can even include his popcorn & cokes! MovieGift tickets are accepted in most first-run theaters in the US & Canada and can be delivered directly to your recipient (or to you to present in-person to your recipient).

See you at the movies!
